Adele Mausser
Mom passed away peacefully at the residence of Chardon March 9th, 2018, 5 months into her 100th year. Possibly the last Lithuanian ‘Zlatkauckas’ of the family tree. She was a WWII “Rosy the Riveter,” retired from GE NELA Lamp Division, then 15 years volunteering at the Geauga Community Hospital and many years helping at the Chardon Cancer Donation Center.
Meanwhile raising 4 sons Colin, James (dec.), Leon, and loved brother John (dec.) while living a life of love with our great father Leo (dec.) Leo was a WWII Marine, Lincoln Electric Tool and Die maker retired, and the shepherd of our entire family unit.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Lithuanian immigrants Daniel and Ursula (Zilinkus). Sister to Stanley and Adam Zakas both disabled WWII Marines (dec.) Sorely missed by 5 grandchildren and 6 great greatgrandchildren.
Dedicated member and volunteer of St. Marys Catholic Church since 1955, and endless rosaries to Our Holy Mother with Sister Angelica.
We wish to thank and bless family, friends, Hospice, and caretakers for all their attention and love shown to our mother. Special love to her daughter in law Karen and best friend Nancy Nesi, longtime neighbor.
