ADELE MALLOY (nee Macarine), age 84, beloved wife for 60 years of the late Patrick; loving mother of Robert (wife Evelyn), John (husband Greg Shick), Mary Ellen Paul (husband Edward), and Sue Ann Zak (husband Mark); devoted grandmother of Stephanie, Jennifer, David ( Jessica Bolanz), Justin, Alena, Kevin, Spencer, Aidan, Liam and Brenna and great-grandmother of Lylah and Axl; cherished daughter of the late Louis and Jenny (nee Mancini) Macarine; dearest sister of the late Michael Macarine (wife Marilou deceased) and sister-in-law of Helen Malloy; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Adele was born August 9, 1937 and died peacefully surrounded by family on August 23, 2021. She grew up in Cleveland in the Woodland neighborhood. Adele lived in Aurora for the last two years and prior to that she resided in Chagrin Falls, Mayfield Heights and Lyndhurst.
Adele was an active member of the St. Clare Catholic Parish. She was a member of the Women’s Guild and prayer and renewal groups. She attended and graduated from Notre Dame High School on Ansel Road in 1955. She was a homemaker and worked at the Upper Room, religious bookstore.
Adele loved baking and was an avid reader. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and loved to travel with Bill. She was a very engaged grandmother and never wanted to miss any of the grandkid’s events. She was their number one fan. She was a dedicated Indian’s fan. Adele and her husband were subscribers to the Cleveland Playhouse Broadway Series and was a music enthusiast. Adele was devoted to her faith, family and friends. She was selfless, compassionate and had a smile that lit up the room. Adele never complained and she never allowed any of her obstacles to keep her from enjoying life and her family.
She will be dearly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church 18205 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Adele at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) SUNDAY 2-6 PM.
