Mary Eleanor Reilly B.S.N, R.N. of Richmond Heights, Ohio; formerly of Campbell, Ohio (age 84 born Jan. 31, 1936 ).
Eleanor was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Edward J. Reilly of Campbell, Ohio and the beloved sister of the late Margaret Jane (Connelly) of Phoenix, Arizona, the late Edward Reilly II of Mayfield Heights, Ohio, Elizabeth Rose (Gray) of Amherst, Ohio, and John Charles Reilly of Chicago, Illinois; aunt of Edward J. Reilly III of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Mary Kathleen Adamczyk of North Port, Florida; great-aunt of Kevin Adamczyk of Macedonia, Ohio, great-aunt of Kristin Tran and great-great-aunt of Tara and Lucas Tran of New Castle, Indiana, and Arthur Edward Adamczyk of Macedonia, Ohio.
Eleanor graduated from St. John’s College School of Nursing in June, 1958 with a B.S. in Nursing. She received a Certificate in Materials Management from TRI-C College. She was employed for 43 years in Nursing Management Positions at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She worked for 3M Corporation on her “vacation time” as a World Health Educator – working throughout the Far East, Middle East, and South Africa in the area of Sterile Processing, Infection Control, Operating Room Procedures, and Consultation Services. She was a faculty member of the American Hospital Association Institutes for Central Service Management.
Eleanor also dedicated her life to the Roman Catholic Church. She was in the first graduating class for Lay Ecclesiastical Ministers at Notre Dame College and continued her theology studies at John Carroll University and St. Mary Seminary. She was certified as a Lay Ecclesiastical Minister for the Diocese of Cleveland and Music Minister. She was a Certified Parish Nurse – Ursuline College. She has ministered at St. Clare Church in Lyndhurst, St. Noel Church in Willoughby Hills, and in the Spiritual Care Department of Cleveland Clinic.
Eleanor has been an officer of the Board of Directors of the Richmond Heights Condo Association in Richmond Heights, Ohio, a Board of Directors member at St. Joseph Christian Life Center, and Board of Directors member of Borromeo Seminary, and the Chairman of Advisory Board of Clinical Pastoral Education Program and Manual Therapy for Hospitalized Patients at Cleveland Clinic.
Eleanor’s administrative skills, leadership and mentoring skills, compassionate care for the sick and their caregivers, master gardening skills, joy in lifelong learning, and genuine kindness and optimism will be missed by many.

Relatives and Friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at St. Noel Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Eleanor at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 3-7 PM.
