MICHAEL J. TSIRONIS, aged 85, passed away peacefully on March 30th, with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 55 years to Constance (nee Kliousi), dear father of John (wife Jessica) and Niko (wife Colleen), loving Grandfather “Papou” of Michael, Will and Nicholas, cherished brother of Gregory and the late Afroditi, Eleni, Nikki, Kostas and Fotis, dear Uncle and cherished friend to many.
Mike was born on November 15, 1934 in Nestorio, Greece to John and Catherine (Vlahos). He immigrated to Cleveland in 1955 and worked for Union Eye Care for 40 years. After his retirement, Mike could often be found in his garden, or volunteering at St. Constantine and Helen’s annual Greek Festival. Mike’s greatest joy was his family. He and his wife Connie were inseparable, they did everything together. Mike loved watching his sons on the soccer field and wrestling mat. Later, he spent many evenings cheering for his three grandsons on the baseball field, always with his beloved wife Connie by his side. Their love and devotion to each other knew no bounds.
Contributions in memory of Mike suggested to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral Philoptochos Association. Private family service will take place on April 6th, with burial at Knollwood Cemetery. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
