2009-06-22 - Earlier this year, DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott welcomed their newest employee – Magic. Magic is a four year old, retired champion, non-shedding, hypoallergenic, Portuguese Water Dog. He loves to help adults and children when attending funeral services as well as serving our community by visits to hospitals, nursing homes, hospices and children’s facilities.
2009-06-22 - The DeJohn~Flynn~Mylott Funeral Homes and Crematory is proud once again this year to offer deserving students in the surrounding communities The Ross and Carmella DeJohn Trust 100 Scholarship Award. This scholarship is not based only on grades or athletic achievement. It is offered to graduating high school seniors who have exemplified the FIVE STAR STANDARDS of membership in the Trust 100 Network of Family Owned Funeral Homes of INDEPENDENCE, INTEGRITY, EXCELLENCE, FAIRNESS and PROFESSIONALISM. The scholarship winners will receive $500 that can be used toward college or technical school and their names are placed on our Five Star Scholarship Winners Plaque here at the funeral home. We also present a special recognition certificate during the awards ceremonies at the winners high school. 2009 Winners were: Mark Fadel - Mayfield High School; Kathryn D'Angelo - Notre Dame/Cathedral Latin High School; Arik Jones - Cleveland Heights High School
